SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL OCCUR ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA TONIGHT


.AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL LIFT ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA TONIGHT, LEADING TO PERIODS OF SNOW ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. BY SUNDAY MORNING, SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE LIKELY NORTH OF A LINE FROM OSHKOSH TO SARGENT. IN ADDITION TO SNOW, NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH OVERNIGHT, PRODUCING AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW. , WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST /5 AM MST/ SUNDAY, A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST /5 AM MST/ SUNDAY.

* TIMING, SNOW, MODERATE AT TIMES, WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS, 2 TO 5 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* WIND, NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH THIS EVENING AND PERSIST THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* IMPACTS, THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CAUSE REDUCED VISIBILITY OF A HALF MILE OR LESS AT TIMES. SLUSH WILL FREEZE ON THE ROADWAY PRODUCING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.
