During the holiday season, giving back to those in need is on top of many people's mind. And this year a KELOLAND elementary school has proven you're never too young to make a difference.
The healing power of music has been a viral inspiration to YouTube followers of Zach Sobiech. The Minnesota teen provided a voice of hope to millions through his song titled "Clouds," as he faced a deadly form of bone cancer.
Zach died Monday at the age of 18. But, his battle inspired a social studies class right here in Sioux Falls at Patrick Henry Middle School.

Coming up tonight on KELOLAND News at 5, South Dakota lawmakers and Governor Dennis Daugaard signed off on the $41-million project this last legislative session for a new state veterans home.
However, bids for the project are coming in much higher than that. KELO Shawn Neisteadt reports on the special legislation session that will be called to get the necessary funding approved.
