Ringneck Tournament Returns To Sioux Falls

The Ringneck tournament is billed as the premier softball event in the Upper Midwest. Starting Friday, over 1,000 athletes, parents, and spectators will pack into Sioux Falls. “This year we are celebrating our 38th year. We have 124 teams on our docket across all of our age groups, including 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18s,” Ringneck Tournament Director Cheryl Morgan said. The three-day event takes place at both Harmodon and Sherman Parks, and will have representation from six different states, as well as ten teams from Canada. “I think bringing in the cultures from different states, and bringing in the interest from the club teams that are playing – versus the teams that we have in our area, some of our teams are club teams, but some are just put together to go play.  We get to see the differences in all the teams bringing this event together.
