The 2009 Orlando Pro Summer League tipped off yesterday at the Orlando Magic practice facility and will continue through July 10. The 2009 NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas July 10-19.

Twelve former Skyforce players are playing in summer leagues with the intention of either earning an invitation to an NBA training camp in October or proving that they are ready to receive playing time at the NBA level.

Skyforce fans should also follow the Minnesota Timberwolves this summer to see how their draft picks stack up against other current and potential NBA players. There are also undrafted free agents that could possibly earn a roster spot with Miami or Minnesota and be eligible to play for the Skyforce this upcoming season.
