The Sioux Falls Canaries suffered a 5-3 loss to the Laredo Lemurs on Tuesday at Uni-Trade Stadium as a season-high losing streak reached five games.
Laredo (20-12) never trailed after scoring three runs in the first inning on four consecutive two-out doubles. Sawyer Carroll, Palmer Karr and Jon Gaston each had an RBI.
The Canaries (12-20) responded in the second inning by plating two runs on back-to-back singles by Jared Clark and Cory Morales following a leadoff walk by John Alonso and Tim Pahuta’s double.
