 There is nothing quite like the hum of hundreds of thousands of honey bees, or the pressure of standing in the center of the swarm knowing you can't leave until you get your line right. It's hard to explain the rush that comes with losing track of the horizon while learning combat moves in an F-16, or the fear that comes with touring a roofless home, lit only by bolts of lightning, minutes after a tornado touched down.As a reporter, I experienced some amazing and unforgettable things. I flew with the Air Force Thunderbirds and shook hands with the Vice President of the United States. As a news anchor, I was blessed with the ability to share stories that matter with people across KELOLAND. Since starting my career in 1997, I've worked in radio and television. I've met a lot of kind, amazing and inspiring people, but, it's time for a new assignment. I am now the producer of KELOLAND News at Five. The move means I'm no longer on air, but I still play an integral role in the newsroom. I'm excited about the new challenges that come with the job, and the more ‘normal’ hours... and so is my husband. For the first time since our 1999 wedding, we'll be able to see each other on the weekends and evenings. Even though I won't be out in the field working on stories, I'd still like to hear from you.
