KELOLAND is home to me. I am proud to say that I was born in Sioux Falls at what is now Sanford Health.Immediately following birth, and a couple of years, I was a student at Good Shepherd before ending up at Washington High School. There I was an editor for the school paper, the News of Washington. After that, I attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where I graduated from in the spring of 2006 with a Degree in Theatre and Communications. When it comes to broadcasting, I’ve had several years of experience starting in the world of radio. I began here in Sioux Falls when I was in high school working at KWSN, KELO AM, and KTWB. During my final semesters as a Golden Gopher, I interned at KFAN and the FAN network in Minneapolis covering the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves. In my first job at KELO I was the Rapid City Bureau Reporter covering all things of note in western South Dakota. I worked in Rapid for a year and a half before I was deployed with my Marine Corps unit for 12 months to Camp Lejeune and eventually Djibouti, Africa. Upon my return from active duty, I came back to KELO in a new role as the Midday and HealthBeat producer. After about a year I transitioned into a new position as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Weekday Sports Reporter. Now I am the Sports Director. Some random facts about me would be: I am married to a very kind and beautiful lady named Grace, I have two daughters, I am a veteran, and I have wonderful parents, two awesome brothers and family who live in the area and raise an army of pug dogs.
