I remember watching KELOLAND News as a little girl and thinking about how much fun it would be to be one of those people in the middle of all the action. I later learned that those people are called reporters… and trust me; it’s as great as I thought it would be!KELOLAND is home for me. I grew up in Emery and got my broadcast journalism degree from South Dakota State University. I spent the summer of 2002 as an intern here at KELO, and then moved to Des Moines, Iowa to report for WOI-TV. I enjoyed my two years there, but when a job opened up here, I couldn’t wait to come back.
I started as the morning reporter in 2005, and six months later was promoted to KELOLAND This Morning co-anchor. After nearly three years of waking up at 2 a.m., I moved on to a more normal schedule, and now anchor Midday in KELOLAND and co-anchor KELOLAND News at Five. Recently, the morning news team and I were awarded a regional Emmy in the daytime newscast category.
I’m also a newlywed! My husband Ross and I got married in August, and we couldn’t be happier. I also love to spend time with family and friends, and cook for anyone who will let me.
This career has given me the chance to meet some of the most amazing people, and I feel lucky to share their stories through the news. If you have a news tip or idea, please let me know!
