Since the eighth grade, I've had the passion to be a television news reporter. I remember watching KELOLAND News growing up and now to be able to report for the station I grew up watching is a dream come true! I'm a native of Sioux Falls, where I graduated from Washington High School in 2008. I started working at KELO-TV when I was a junior in high school. I ran studio camera and audio for nearly three years before moving to the newsroom in 2009, where I was a production assistant and edited video for our newscasts. After I graduated in 2008, I continued my education at South Dakota State University, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. During the summer of 2011 I had an opportunity of a lifetime, as I interned as a reporter at KELO-TV. I gained experience I never thought possible from all of my great co-workers, as I reported on the record flooding along the Missouri River. I'm currently finishing up my senior year at SDSU, and will graduate this coming May. You can catch me on the weekends reporting for KELOLAND Weekend News. If you have any story ideas, pass them along! |
