I was born in the land of milk and honey... and the Green Bay Packers. As a native of Madison, Wisconsin, I am proud to call myself a "cheese head." At some point in my life, I took the phrase, "Go West young woman" (allow me some literary looseness, here) a little too seriously and wound up at Iowa State University. There I earned my BS in Journalism and Mass Communications, complemented with minors in Sociology, Political Science and Telecommunicative Arts.
Still heading west, I find myself in Sioux Falls at KELOLAND TV where I am in the midst of my second tour, and more then 12 years, of service here. For more than 10 of those years, I was proud to bring viewers the latest health news with my HealthBeat reports on KELOLAND News at 5 and 6 each day.
These days, however, I am filling the role of Managing Editor within the newsroom. As such I am working to help develop the strength of our news reporting at KELOLAND-TV and the skill of our news reporters. While my duties now take me off-the-air, I continue to find pride in each of our daily newscasts and am eager to hear from our viewers about how you think we're doing.
