“Sometimes I have to pinch myself. I caught the news bug when I was a kid and I am lucky enough to live my dream.”
Hailey was born and raised under the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Ogden, Utah. While earning a college education at Weber State University, she worked as the news director for both the national award winning college TV station, Weber State News and WSU’s radio station, 88.1 Weber FM.
The summer before graduation, she packed everything into her car and moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho for an internship opportunity at KIFI Local News 8 HD. Her first break was given to her there, when she was offered a reporter position in September 2008. She spent most days covering crime, courts and education in the Bonneville County area. A short drive to Yellowstone National Park, the Tetons and Craters of the Moon, Hailey fell in love with the beautiful Idaho summers.
Hailey joined the KELOLAND team in October 2010 as the morning video journalist. While shooting, writing, and editing her stories, she has the freedom to truly make them her own. Each weekday she brings you the latest news for KELOLAND News This Morning.
When she’s not working, Hailey is visiting family and friends, going out to eat, shopping and baking pies and cookies. She also can be found walking downtown with Oliver, her adorable Shih Tzu.
