Erica Johnson
My story begins north about 90 miles up the I-29 corridor. I was born and raised in Watertown where I spent time on the tennis court, the debate team and the student senate. I graduated from Watertown High School in 2004.Heading south on the interstate some 45 miles, I found my next stop at South Dakota State University. I came to school knowing I wanted to write, talk to people, and take pictures. Throwing these attributes all together I found my calling in journalism.
While finishing school I worked at a different Sioux Falls station as a production assistant and later as a photojournalist. In May 2008 I graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Now even further south, down the interstate corridor, I’m happy to find my final stop at KELOLAND TV.
Reporting allows me to meet interesting people and never know where each day will take me. That’s why I am excited to share your story in the place I have always called home. If you have any news tips or ideas please email me at ejohnson@keloland.com.
