Courtney Zieller

Growing up in Connecticut, less than 40 minutes from the smell of salt water, the sound of crashing waves and the feel of sand between my toes, I have always been a beach girl.  But when a station in the Midwest called me about a job, I never thought an east coast girl like myself would venture out to the middle of the country.

In 2006, I left the shoreline for the Quad Cities. There, I worked as a “one-man-band” reporter, shooting my own video, writing, editing and at times, producing.

Now, I’m settled in KELOLAND, excited to cover news throughout this area. My day starts around 2 a.m., so I can co-anchor the morning show with Jon Wilson. After that, I get to hit the streets and report on a story.

When I don’t have my head buried in news, you can usually find me outdoors, either walking my dog, on a volleyball court or exploring what South Dakota has to offer.
