 It’s great how some things go full circle! I’m extremely excited to be back and anchoring KELOLAND Weekend News, and reporting throughout this region.My journey to KELOLAND began when my family and I moved here from Orange County, California when I was 17. I decided to stay close to home and attended South Dakota State University in Brookings. It wasn’t long after I started my freshman year, that I knew I had to be a storyteller. So, I thought I’d give journalism a shot. I first joined the KELOLAND family when I was 19. I started as a production assistant for KELOLAND This Morning on Saturdays, and slowly added other shows to my schedule. I spent the next two years as a production assistant and finally landed an on-air internship during the summer of 2005. After working like crazy that summer, I was offered a reporting position and continued to report weekends during my senior year at SDSU. Once I graduated, I was offered a full-time reporting spot with KVLY & KXJB in Fargo. I spent two years there, expanding my knowledge, experience, and storytelling skills. Now, I’m back and looking forward to my new role in KELOLAND. I love meeting new people, telling their stories, and learning something from them along the way.
