I love reporting the news for the same station I grew up watching. I'm from a family farm near Gregory, South Dakota. Because I now have to get up extremely early to anchor KELOLAND News This Morning, I'm thankful for those early mornings as a child on a dairy farm.
After high school, I attended South Dakota State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. During my last two years at SDSU, I worked as a weekend reporter, intern and production assistant at KELO. I also maintained a 4.0 GPA and was honored for graduating at the top of my journalism class.
I then moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota, where I was an anchor, reporter, photographer and producer at WDAZ TV. After many lessons learned up north, I'm happy to be back in South Dakota and closer to my family.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy long walks and runs with my two crazy dogs (an English springer spaniel and German shorthaired pointer), home remodeling projects, spending time with friends and family, and of course shopping with my sister.
In addition to anchoring KELOLAND News This Morning, I'm also KELO's HealthBeat Reporter. I have a true passion for any health-related topics. If you have any story ideas, don't be afraid to send me an email.
