Spearfish Police Search For Snowmobile Driver
April 19, 2009, 2:08 PM
Authorities have inspected a snowmobile that may have been used to run down a Spearfish police officer, but they're still looking for the driver.
Police Cpl. Mark Weber was struck and injured by a snowmobile on March 30 when he saw it going through town on the wrong side of the street and tried to speak to the driver. Police Chief Pat Rotert said the owner of the snowmobile that has been examined isn't a suspect because it appears the snowmobile was stolen for a joyride.
