Three of the top four officials in the South Dakota Democratic Party have endorsed Barack Obama in the state's presidential primary.
State party vice chair Cheryl Chapman of Rapid City hasn't publicly endorsed Obama or Hillary Clinton. She says it's important that party officials remain neutral.
Obama is supported by Party Chairman Jack Billion and the party's national committeeman and committeewoman.
State Party Executive Director Rick Hauffe says nothing in the state party bylaws prohibits endorsement by party officers.
Fifteen delegates up for grabs in the state's Democratic presidential primary on Tuesday.
