Sioux Falls police are searching for the man who allegedly tried to rob a local gas station late last night.
It happened on at the Food-N-Fuel on North Kiwanis Avenue, just before 11 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the suspect brought an 18-pack of beer up to the counter, displayed a knife with a seven-inch blade and demanded money from the till.
When the clerk refused, the suspect left the store with the beer, then got into the passenger side of a maroon compact two-door vehicle.
The suspect is described as a 30 to 35 year-old, six-foot white man, weighing between 180 to 200 pounds.
He has a short brown beard and was wearing a black stocking hat and dark colored jacket.
The description of the driver is unknown at this time.
