Inside KELOLAND: Augustana Thought Leader Forum & Carolyn Downs Retirement Event

February 10, 2008, 9:30 AM by Karen Sherman

College professors work to educate students, but now Augustana College is taking that a step further by trying to teach the public about Islam and the West. The Augustana Thought Leader forum will cover a broad range of issues connected to national security and international affairs. The first speaker will address a luncheon Wednesday, February 13th. For more information, click here.

In 20 years of service at the Banquet, Carolyn Downs has touched hundreds of lives. At the end of this month, the woman who's helped lead the effort to feed those in need in Sioux Falls will retire. But before that happens, Carolyn Downs will be honored at a roast and retirement event sponsored by the Sioux Falls Noon Sertoma. Tickets are $100 each and the money will go to The Banquet Endowment. More details on the event can be found by clicking here.
