Moviegoers across the U-S can see a part of South Dakota on the big screen. "Into the Wild" is based on a best-selling book that tells the story of a wanderer, who's travels brought him to several state's, including South Dakota. But it isn't the first movie to be shot in the state. There is a Film Office that is part of the Tourism Department that promotes South Dakota as a location for making movies.
