Inside KELOLAND: Airline Security

August 20, 2006, 10:01 AM by Andrea Leesch

Air travelers have had more than a week now to adjust to new airport security guidelines...

Terror investigators in Britain have been given a judge's O-K to continue questioning 23 suspects arrested in an alleged plot to blow up U-S-bound passenger jets. Authorities in Pakistan are looking for three more suspects, including a British Muslim.

Because the plot involved liquid explosives, the inconvenience of not being able to carry a water bottle or soda onto a plane may become permanent. U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales says if security officials can figure out a way to screen for liquid explosives, then it might be possible to lift the liquid ban.

Click on the links below for advice on how to prepare for increased security screenings and to find out what items are allowed on board.
