Downtown Wells Fargo Closes For Power Outage

Downtown Wells Fargo Closes For Power Outage
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Wells Fargo in downtown Sioux Falls has decided to close for the day.

The building at 101 N. Phillips Avenue is included in a power outage that covers nine square blocks and about 200 customers between 8th and 11th Streets and Phillips and Minnesota Avenues.

The bank is running its essential systems on a generator but the utility company is not able to say when the power could come back on.

Xcel Energy says the damage is so extensive they will have to replace all the underground electrical equipment in order to restore power.

Other Wells Fargo offices and banking stores in Sioux Falls are unaffected and are operating as usual.
