Sioux Falls police have arrested a 30-year-old man who is accused of raping a six-year-old child.
Christopher Hartford is charged with first degree rape, sexual contact with a child, and two counts of sexual exploitation.
Hartford is scheduled to appear in court Thursday afternoon after the six-year-old relative told a classmate at her Sioux Falls elementary school that she was having sex with Hartford.
That classmate reported the case to a teacher and it eventually got to Sioux Falls Police.
During an interview with Child's Voice the six-year-old child said that Hartford would rape her in the shower of a Sioux Falls motel while Hartford's wife was at work.
Court documents go on to say that the six-year-old girl said Hartford would show her pornographic videos on TV and on his phone.
When questioned about the allegations this week, Hartford admitted to the claims that were made against him.
He is being held on a $250,000 cash bond in the Minnehaha County Jail.
