Man Charged With Rape Admits To The Crime
Kristopher Wilson

MITCHELL, SD -

The former Dakota Wesleyan basketball player, who was arrested Monday and charged with rape, admits he committed the crime.

Kristopher Wilson was still attending DWU when he was arrested for allegedly raping another female student on campus.
According to court papers, Wilson had sex with the woman who was extremely intoxicated and was in and out of consciousness. The papers go onto to say, while being interviewed by investigators, Wilson admitted he knew what he did was wrong because she was so intoxicated.

Wilson's bond was set at $5,000 cash.  He faces 25 years in prison if convicted.

KELOLAND News also learned Wilson was working as a part time 5th and 6th grade boys basketball coach in the Hanson School District in Alexandria. The superintendent tells KELOLAND News Wilson is no longer employed there, pending the outcome of the investigation.
