Former Teacher Pleads Guilty To Sex Crime
Kyle Keegan

RAPID CITY, SD -

A former New Underwood teacher has pleaded guilty to a sex crime.

Kyle Keegan entered the guilty plea to one count of sexual contact with a minor under age of 16 in Pennington County Courtroom on Monday.  In exchange, prosecutors dropped the rape charge he had faced earlier.

Authorities say Keegan had sex with a 15-year-old female student last October in his Rapid City apartment.

KELOLAND's Derek Olson was in the courtroom and will have more on the developments on KELOLAND News at 6.
