Student Charged With Rape On DWU Campus
Kristopher Wilson

MITCHELL, SD -

Mitchell police have arrested a Dakota Wesleyan University student accused of having sex with a woman who was intoxicated and unconscious.  Investigators say it happened Sunday on the campus.

23-year-old Kristopher A. Wilson is charged with rape or a person incapable of giving consent and faces up to 25 years in prison and a $30,000 fine if found guilty.

Wilson is current student and former DWU basketball player whose eligibility with the team ended with the 2011-2012 season.

DWU officials believe this is an isolated event and urge students with concerns to speak with counselors on campus or reach out to their Student Life staff.
