Irene Woman Charged In Nebraska Infant Death

January 18, 2013, 12:03 PM

BROKEN BOW, NE -

A South Dakota midwife who's been banned from delivering babies in South Dakota is in trouble again, this time in Nebraska.

65-year-old Judy Jones, of Irene, was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the death of a Nebraska infant in 2011.

Authorities say she was the mid-wife for a Custer County, Nebraska, couple.  But after the birth the baby later died.

Jones is currently in jail on a $100,000 bond until her preliminary hearing.
