7 SD Libraries Accredited In Tiered System
PIERRE, SD -

State officials say seven South Dakota public libraries have been accredited in the past year under a new tiered system.

The South Dakota State Library accredits public libraries as providing services at the essential, enhanced or exemplary levels.

The Brookings Public Library has been accredited at the exemplary level.

The Custer County Library and the Edgemont Public Library were accredited at the enhanced level.

Libraries in Harrisburg, Hill City, North Sioux City and Scotland were accredited at the essential level.
