Building Permits Issued In Lead Down For 2012
LEAD, SD -

The number of building permits issued in the city of Lead and the value of the projects was down in 2012.

The city of Lead issued a total of 168 building permits, 46 less than in 2011. The total value of projects also dropped, from nearly $3.6 million in 2011 to just over $2 million in 2012.

But Lead City Building Inspector Dennis Schumacher says that permits for projects worth $25,000 or more were up. He says 43 permits were issued in 2012 compared to 14 in 2011.
