Investigators Release Homicide Victim's Name

Investigators Release Homicide Victim's Name
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Investigators believe the Sioux Falls man found dead in his home Monday put up quite the struggle with his killer.

Officials found the body of 50-year-old Crescencio "Chris" Conde-Vargas of Sioux Falls Monday afternoon when he didn't show up for work.  An autopsy is being done to determine the cause and time of death but they say he was found with head injuries and believe he died sometime Saturday or Sunday.

Investigators believe Conde-Vargas knew his attacker because there was not a struggle to get inside the home.  It's also why they say there is not a threat to the neighborhood or public.

Officials are now talking with Conde-Vargas' co-workers and friends.  While they are looking into several people, they do not have one specific person of interest at this time.

We'll continue to bring you updates on the homicide investigation as new details come in.
