Tip Call Leads Police To Suspicious Death

Tip Call Leads Police To Suspicious Death
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Sioux Falls Police are investigating what they're calling a suspicious death.

A man's body was found at a home on the 1000 block of East 8th Street.   This home is located near the intersection of 8th Street and French Avenue.

Authorities were called to the residence about 12:30 p.m. Monday with a tip that the man living there hadn't reported to work. Once officers got inside, they found his body.

After examining the scene, police say there is reason to believe death is suspicious.  They spent several hours on the scene; neighbors say police, at one point, lined both sides of the street.

Sioux Falls detectives and crime lab officials were there to investigate and police say they continue to look for evidence.

They have not released the victim's name.
