The Bison led by 13 in the first half after Brittney Gaines hit a 3-pointer to make it 34-21 with 3:20 left, but the Coyotes outscored the Bison 52-18 the rest of the game.  USD was able to work the lead down to 37-31 at half with Wilson scoring five points during that 10-3 run.

USD started the second half with a 14-0 run that lasted over the first 7:40 of the second half.  The Yotes forced six turnovers and drew five fouls in that span.

NDSU cut the lead down to one (47-46) with 9:52 left, but ran out of steam while trailing 53-50 with six minutes left.  Seekamp started a 20-2 run that lasted the rest of the game by hitting a 3-pointer with 5:58 left and then came up with a steal and a layup on the ensuing possession.
