SD Delegation Agrees There Is More Work To Be Done
WASHINGTON -

All three members of South Dakota's Congressional delegation voted in favor of the deal to keep the country from going over the fiscal cliff.

Democratic Senator Tim Johnson, Republican Senator John Thune and Republican Representative Kristi Noem all voted 'yes' to avoid major tax increases and government spending cuts.

Noem and Thune say America has big problems that include out of control government spending and the tax code.  Both hope that lawmakers address those challenges sooner rather than later.

Johnson agrees that there is much to do in the coming weeks.  In a statement to KELOLAND News, Johnson says "The sequestration budget cuts were only postponed for two months.  We are faced with having to raise the debt ceiling."
