Areas of light snow and blowing snow continue across southeast KELOLAND with slick roads and scattered ice. Conditions will improve during the day as sunny skies build across most of the area. Highs will be coldest in the northeast with a high near 16 in Aberdeen and warming to 41 in Rapid City. Rapid City will be much warmer by tomorrow as we see a big contrast in temperatures across the region. Look for a high there near 50 on Friday, but a morning low of -6 in forecast in Aberdeen.
The weekend weather looks quiet and dry right now with highs in the 20s in the east and 30s and 40s in the west.
The next clipper could affect northern KELOLAND by Christmas Eve with the chance of light snow. There will be additional chances of snow Tuesday and Wednesday, but this system may skirt through western SD and then head into Nebraska. We’ll have more on that later today on KELOLAND news.
