Black Hills State University will begin offering a graduate degree in sustainability starting next fall.
The Board of Regents approved the master of science degree during its meeting Wednesday. The degree will be offered online. Based on demand, it may also be offered at off-campus centers in Rapid City and Sioux Falls.
Graduates of the sustainability program will be able to go into natural resources management, renewable energy and community planning in industries like wind energy and geothermal energy.
