Storm Center Update-Monday AM

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

It’s a cold start across KELOLAND as the snowstorm from the weekend has departed.  Winds are much better this morning, so blowing snow is not the big problem.  Roads are still very slick and drifts are still a problem on roads that haven’t been plowed north and west of Sioux Falls.  Highs will be in the teens in the northeast, with 20s in the southeast and central, and 30s in the west.  Winds will increase in western SD today at 20-30mph from the northwest.

A few flurries will develop in western SD this afternoon and those flurries will move east toward Aberdeen overnight.  Highs tomorrow will be a little warmer, but still in the upper 20s to lower 30s in many areas.

It looks like the warmest air of the week will arrive on Wednesday.  Sioux Falls will have a chance of getting above freezing.  Temperatures are forecast to cool again toward the weekend with a chance of snow on Saturday.
