Shot Fired During Road Rage Incident

At least one shot was fired during an incident of road rage early Saturday morning in northwest Sioux Falls.

Police say two vehicles were swerving at each other for several blocks when the lead vehicle slammed on the brakes, causing the other vehicle to rear-end it near 12th & LaMesa.

Police say a gunshot from the back vehicle went through the windshield and lodged into the rear of the front vehicle.

The driver of the back vehicle, 23-year-old Jessie Quarve is charged with DWI, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

The driver of the front vehicle, 29-year-old Matthew Wayne Leiss is charged with reckless driving.

No one was hurt.
