Vault Vote Scheduled For Tuesday Night

December 4, 2012, 6:17 PM by Kelly Bartnick

Vault Vote Scheduled For Tuesday Night
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

After two weeks of talking with The Vault management and other businesses who want it shut tight, city councilors will cast their vote Tuesday night to either keep the building open or shut it down.

The Vault's liquor license renewal came up last month. City councilors said they've had multiple complaints from the neighbors about parking in the area. They also say Vault patrons are unruly and lewd at closing time, which comes at a cost to hotel customers who are literally losing sleep over the issue. The hotels asked the city council to revoke the license.

At its meeting last month, the city council tabled the issue to try and work out a compromise between the Vault and its neighbors. That includes more parking patrols and after-hours crowd control, which we are likely to hear more about during Tuesday night's meeting.
