Storm Center Update - Sunday AM

December 2, 2012, 9:12 AM by Ben Cathey

We’ll have another day of near record-setting high temperatures.  You’ll also notice more sunshine a south breeze before the next cold front starts to move in tonight.  Most locations will be close to records today and we’ll cover them during this evening’s newscasts.  Otherwise it will be a mild day after patchy morning fog burns off.
The breeze will stay around during the overnight hours.  With clouds building, we will be considerably warmer than this morning.  Winds will shift to out of the northwest by early tomorrow.  We also have a slim chance of sprinkles or light rain showers in NW South Dakota.  This will move east through tomorrow morning.  Aberdeen and the Black Hills have a shot at light rain before noon tomorrow.
The next few days will be marginally cooler but still above average.  A new cold front comes back in later on Wednesday.  Clouds will increase and we’ll have a chance at overnight showers into the day on Thursday.  Most should remain dry, however.  Much colder Arctic air arrives into KELOLAND next Friday and lasts through next weekend.  Clouds will be thick next Saturday.
