Convicted Sex Offender Wanted By Police
Kristopher Aslesen

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The Sioux Falls Police Department and Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office are looking for a convicted sex offender who's suspected of raping a child.

Police say 29-year-old Kristopher Aslesen of Garretson is a semi-truck driver who also has ties to the Sioux Falls and Mitchell areas.  A warrant for his arrest was issued Friday, November 16 for two counts of first-degree rape of a victim less than 13-years-old.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office was able to track down Aslesen's abandoned truck the same day in Bloomington, Illinois.

Aslesen was convicted in June 2003 of having sexual contact with two 12-year-old girls in Davison County.

Anyone with information on Aslesen should call Crime Stoppers at 605-367-7007 or the sheriff's office at 605-367-4300.
