SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Partly cloudy skies are forecast today with highs in the upper 30s in the northeast, with lower 40s in most other areas of KELOLAND. Temperatures will likely stay colder over the snow cover in southwestern South Dakota and parts of northern Nebraska. Winds will be fairly light from the west at 5-15 mph. Quiet weather will continue tonight with lows in the teens in the east, with lower 20s west.
Warmer weather will move in tomorrow with a few lower 50s in Rapid City, but Sioux Falls will not be that warm, likely in the lower 40s. Some weak cooling will move back into KELOLAND late Wednesday and Thursday with a cold front, but no major precipitation is forecast at this time.
Temperatures will warm again heading into the weekend, with widespread 50s and 60s in the forecast. These numbers will threaten record highs and we’ll keep a close eye on how warm Monday will be. That could be the warmest day of the next 7.
