Rushmore Float Making Third Appearance At Parade

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

South Dakota's "Mount Rushmore's American Pride" float is making its third appearance in New York City's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The float features Mount Rushmore National Memorial as well as Badlands National Park, the Black Hills National Forest and the Missouri River.

Singer and songwriter Don McLean is scheduled to perform on the float. He'll be singing his 1971 hit "American Pie."

The parade is being broadcast on NBC from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday in all time zones.

You can watch the parade on KELO-TV when CBS begins its coverage at 8 a.m.
