Tea Police To Be Discussed At Council Meeting

Tea Police To Be Discussed At Council Meeting

The Tea City Council will take up discussion on its police department at a meeting Monday night.

According to the agenda, the meeting will begin with an executive session to discuss personnel issues. They also have scheduled time to talk about the police department.

Police Chief Brian Ketterhagen resigned earlier this month, along with police officer James Klimple. Ketterhagen is involved in a Wyoming lawsuit filed just a few months ago. It alleges Ketterhagen withheld evidence during the investigation of a cold case in order to get a conviction.

The Lincoln County State's Attorney says it is now important to review Tea cases because of those allegations.

The city has said it wants to move forward as quickly as possible.

We'll have more on what is discussed on the Nightbeat on KELOLAND News at 10.
