Storm Center Update - Monday PM

November 19, 2012, 2:50 PM by Scot Mundt

The mild air will continue through at least Wednesday with near record highs possible Wednesday afternoon.  That means temperatures will warm to the upper sixties and lower seventies by midweek.

A cold front will move through on Thanksgiving to allow for thicker clouds, stronger northerly winds, and cooler temperatures.  We’ll have to watch north central and northeast South Dakota for a light wintry mix that day.  In the meantime, temperatures will be at least ten degrees cooler on Thanksgiving.

The colder air will overtake KELOLAND Thursday night and Friday morning.  For those of you getting ready for the Black Friday bargains, bundle up as Friday’s highs will be closer to average in eastern KELOLAND.

The rest of the holiday weekend will be dry with slowly warming temperatures.  Numbers will return to the upper forties and fifties by Sunday.
