With so little going on around our region, we look off to the Pacific for the next development later in the week. A large trough off Alaska brought southwest winds to KELOLAND the past few days. You might have noticed that our clouds have moved off to the northeast and that’s the reason.
This evening we’ll have just a few clouds but by tomorrow morning, we won’t be brutally cold. Even after a minor cool-down, we will still warm up quite nicely tomorrow afternoon. Sun and a breeze return for much of the early week. There should be a few clouds in SW Minnesota and NW Iowa early in the day tomorrow but the trend is definitely showing lots of sun. There will be rain in Iowa tomorrow but most of it will be just to our east.
This gentle but dry pattern continues through Wednesday. The system off the Pacific will start to break off to the east and will bring a cold front to our area late Wednesday into Thursday. Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week. You’ll feel a stronger breeze in the west. Though the cold front arrives on Thanksgiving, there is little to deter gorgeous holiday weather.
Black Friday will be a bit cooler but still warmer than usual. Next weekend still looks dry, even as the next system brings moisture to our north.
