Cut-A-Thon Raises $14,000 For Trooper
TEA, SD -

Nearly a month after a South Dakota trooper was injured in the line of duty, support for his family is stronger than ever.

As we showed you on Tuesday, friends organized a cut-a-thon, bake sale and raffle to raise money for the family of Andrew Steen.

People came from all over and the ten hour event in Tea ended up bringing in more than $14,000.

Steen was run over following a high speed chase through Sioux Falls.

He remains in the hospital, where he's recovering from serious head injuries.  The driver accused of hitting him is charged with attempted murder.
