Fundraiser Helps Tea Family

November 3, 2012, 6:50 PM

TEA, SD -

A Tea family who lost everything in a house fire six weeks ago were the recipients of a benefit.

Tony and Wendy Mork and their three kids are in desperate need of clothes and money after their home was destroyed on September 30th.

Bigs Sports Bar and Billiards raised money for the couple through a pool tournament and raffle on Saturday.

Silent auction items were donated from 70 businesses from across the area to help out the family.

"It just goes to show how many businesses and support of the community and people coming together to show support and get them back on their feet and get back to normal," Organizer Kari Morstad said.

If you'd still like to help out the family but didn't attend the event, organizers say you can still donate to Reliabank in Tea.
