One Dead In Two Vehicle Crash In Eastern SF

One person is dead in a two car crash in eastern Sioux Falls.

Police say a 19-year-old was driving a 1987 Honda Civic heading south on Highway 11, when he suddenly swerved into the northbound lane and struck another car.

The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. Friday near Dawley Farm Village.

Two people in the other car had to be extricated from the vehicle and were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 11 from 10th Street to 26th Street was closed for several hours while police reconstructed the scene.
