Storm Center Update - Thursday PM

November 1, 2012, 2:40 PM by Scot Mundt

Temperatures will remain cool over the next several days with highs at or slightly below average in eastern KELOLAND.  In the meantime, the clouds and fog in western South Dakota have been stubborn to break-up.  This has kept Rapid City near forty degrees while parts of the southern Hills have warmed to near sixty.  Central South Dakota has also had thick clouds with temps in the forties to near fifty degrees.  The sun has been shining in eastern KELOALND, but the temperatures are cooler than yesterday with numbers in the middle forties.

Clouds will remain thick in western South Dakota this evening and tonight with temperatures remaining steady.  Central and eastern KELOLAND will be clear to partly cloudy tonight with lows in the twenties and thirties.

Friday is looking cool and dry with highs in the forties and fifties.  There’s still a weak wave that will dive through KELOLAND this weekend.  This will allow for mostly cloudy skies and cool temperatures with highs in the forties.  The moisture is limited, but scattered light rain and snow showers will be possible.  Anything that falls will stay very light.

Next week will feature slowly warming temperatures and dry skies.
