THIS IS A COPY OF AN EMAIL I SEND OUT TO JAY, BRIAN, AND BEN. JUST SOME THOUGHTS ON WHAT THE FORECAST MODELS ARE DOING. IT MAY OR MAY NOT REFLECT THE FINAL FORECAST. BE SURE TO VISIT OUR WEATHER PAGE FOR UPDATES. –SCOT MUNDT
As Sandy continues to spin in the northeast, it will keep us warm and dry. Raised some of the temps over the next couple of days with highs in the 60s for Halloween (RAP near 70). 50s and 60s should continue for much of KELOLAND through at least Friday.
The weekend will feature an upper level wave. All three models have it passing through, but QPF amounts are very light. That being said, I’m not too nuts about it and I’m thinking of keeping it dry. I have thicker clouds and cooler air for the weekend with highs in the 40s on Sunday.
Can’t get too crazy about anything beyond the seven day forecast until the models move Sandy along.
